Rainy seasons and wet floor - anyone can accidentally fell and what is worst is when you hit your head on the floor. Even if you don't see bloods or wounds in your head, it is still wise to check what you need to do if this happens to you. In this article you will be informed of what to do in case your head hit on the floor.

Know the Severity of Damage

If your head was injured for any reasons like when you hit it on the floor, it is important to remember what happened after the accident. Normally we are alarmed if we see blood flowing from the injured head but what if we don't see any wounds or blood and it is just aching? If you experienced loss of your consciousness even for a very short time, loss of memory, nausea, vomiting and dizziness then you shouldn't take it lightly. You must see your doctor as soon as you can for those are the signs of having internal bleeding or injured skull in your head.

There are two types of internal bleeding in the brain - epidural and subdural. These are both dangerous as it only means that part of your brain areas are bleeding. When there are blood clots in the head it could squeeze the brain and may result to death.

If you don't experience any of those signs which were mentioned above, you have to check if the pupils of your eyes are similar in shape. If you notice any abnormalities it could be a sign of concussion and still the best precaution is to consult your doctor. It may not be as severe as epidural and subdural but the truth is your head is still bleeding internally, this time in a slow manner.

The Treatment

Your head must pass through a CAT scanner; it can check your head if there is any bleeding. Normally the blood clot must be removed through a surgery. Thus, if you go to hospital immediately you can be sure that the internal bleeding can be treated successfully.

It is always safe to see your doctor than to assume that what happened to you was nothing serious. But if you don't feel any of the above symptoms and your head is aching, that is natural as it will take some time to feel better. In case the pain becomes serious and doesn't go away, you should see your doctor immediately.
